The mission of the Émilie-Gamelin Volunteer Action Center is to promote and develop volunteer action in the different sectors of human activity, by fostering a space for volunteer engagement around issues (social, community, humanitarian) that concern the population of its territory of the Regional County Municipality of Joliette. Volunteers are the driving force of our organization. Their work is a source of personal and collective fulfillment and enrichment. Seniors and the most vulnerable are the people targeted by our services in order to ensure they remain at home for as long as possible.

The values conveyed by the Center are: justice, equity, the promotion of mutual aid and voluntary commitment, dignity, respect, solidarity and mutual aid.

Our services: Medical and non-medical transportation, meals on wheels, friendly visits, friendly calls, various Community Center activities. We also support a food aid organization by delivering boxes of food to their customers.
