Established since 1990, the mission of the Centre de soutien entr'Aidants is to support caregivers who caring for an elderly loved one.
The Centre de soutien entr’Aidants was the first community organization in Québec to offer services to caregivers caring for an elderly loved one. The Centre de soutien entr’Aidants was founded in 1990 in response to a need in the community.
Our mission is to support caregivers by offering a range of services to help them take care of an elderly loved one, while maintaining their physical, psychological and financial health.
What is a caregiver?
A caregiver is someone who takes care of a loved one who is temporarily or permanently incapacitated due to a disability, an accident, illness or aging.
Contrary to popular belief, it is not necessary to live with your loved one in order to be identified as a “caregiver”. As soon as you are running errands, assisting with personal hygiene, dressing, accompanying them to medical appointments or filling any other needs, you are a caregiver.
To take care of others, you must first take care of yourself! Services offered by the Centre de soutien entr’Aidants vary widely and are tailored to suit your needs :
