Centre for Global Education

about

The Centre for Global Education is dedicated to transforming the educational landscape by empowering youth and educators to become active agents of environmental and social change. Our mission is to foster a deep, experiential understanding of nature, cultural heritage, and contemporary ecological challenges, integrating Indigenous knowledge with modern science and environmental practices. Through innovative programs like the AP Nature Education and AP Land-based Seminars, we equip students with the analytical skills and community connections needed to address climate change and biodiversity loss. These innovative initiatives are rooted in inquiry-driven learning that builds empathy and equips students to address pressing issues such as climate change, biodiversity loss, and social inequities

Our work extends globally through collaborative programs such as #EducationNatureNexus and #Decarbonize, which connect tens of thousands of students, educators, and community leaders across continents to participate in policy discussions and local action projects. These initiatives not only promote high-quality, inclusive environmental education but also generate measurable positive outcomes—from child-authored manifestos and declarations at international conservation events to tangible improvements in community engagement and global policy dialogue. By continuously refining our approaches through robust evaluation and partnerships with government, Indigenous communities, and academic institutions, we ensure that our mission translates into lasting impacts on the communities we support.
