For over 50 years, IWHC Toronto has provided accessible, confidential and compassionate sexual and reproductive health services to communities across Toronto.
We are an independent, pro-choice and women-focused sexual health organization funded by the City of Toronto through Toronto Public Health. While our organization is women-focused, we welcome and serve clients of all genders.
Our mission is to empower people to make informed choices about their sexual and reproductive health by providing clinical care, counselling, education, outreach and support in a safe, respectful and culturally responsive environment.
Our all-female Centre and medical staff provide services in 9 languages, helping reduce language and cultural barriers to care. We welcome clients with or without OHIP and provide a range of free and low-cost services.
What We Do
At our clinic at 489 College Street in Toronto, clients can access confidential sexual and reproductive healthcare, counselling, information and support. Some diagnostic screening and treatments are provided free of charge, and birth control is available at low cost.
Through our Mobile Health Clinic, we also bring healthcare directly into communities across Toronto. Working in partnership with local agencies, our family doctor and counselling staff provide services including:
- STI testing
- Pregnancy testing
- Pap tests
- Breast exams
- Referrals for mammograms and ultrasounds
- Sexual and reproductive health counselling and support
Education & Community Outreach
Our work extends beyond the clinic. IWHC Toronto counsellors partner with community organizations across the city to deliver educational workshops on topics such as STIs and cancer screening, contraception, Pap tests, safer sex and healthy sexuality.
