The Champions for Life Foundation works with various partners and organizations in order to offer physical literacy programs as well as educate the public on the topic of physical literacy. Our primary mission is to help children in low socioeconomic communities where health and social risks are greater.
The Champions for Life program is for 5 to 8-year-old children in schools and communities. The program is complementary to the school’s physical education program and is meant to give children more opportunities to support the learning that takes place in physical education classes as mandated by the ministry of education.
Through fun games and activities, the children develop fundamental movement skills such as jumping, running, throwing and catching. The ultimate goal is for each child to feel good about themselves while building confidence in their abilities and being motivated to continue to participate in physical activities throughout their lives.
