The Charitable Foundation of the Family is pleased to support the Future Leaders Movement Labs Fund, a community initiative focused on helping young people build confidence, a sense of belonging, leadership, and healthy lifestyles through movement, mentorship, and accessible programming.
Future Leaders exists to create environments where young people feel safe, supported, and inspired to grow - both on and off the field of play. Through structured leadership labs and community-based movement programming, youth participants have opportunities to develop physical literacy, leadership skills, teamwork, resilience, and positive social connections.
The Movement Labs combine sport, mentorship, and leadership development through programs such as NHL Street, NFL FLAG, and MLS GO, while intentionally creating environments that encourage belonging, confidence, and community engagement.
The Future Leaders Movement Labs are designed to reduce barriers to participation by providing subsidized access for youth and families who may otherwise be unable to participate in organized programs.
Funds raised for this initiative will be used to cover facility costs, administrative salaries, and equipment and resources needed to run youth programs.
The goal is to raise $75,000 to fund one full year of programming.
In the event that any funds remain unutilized or are no longer required for their intended purpose, including a program being cancelled or no longer qualifying as a charitable activity, the Charitable Foundation of the Family will allocate such remaining funds at its discretion as unrestricted funds. These funds will be directed toward other charitable initiatives aligned with the Foundation’s mission and values.
The program coordinators have agreed to provide quarterly updates and reports, including participation numbers, volunteer hours, financial stewardship summaries, impact stories, and receipts for any reimbursement of expenses related to the program.
