about

Lordly House Musuem houses information about the Municipality of Chester,  housed in a circa 1806 Georgian house that belonged to Charles Lordly the first municipal clerk for the Municipality of Chester.   His office, Maple Cottage,  adjacent to the house. contains research materials and a replica of the original municipal office.

Surrounding the house is Lordly Park and children's playground, open to all,  encompassing an entire village block with a wet land  bird watching area, a gazebo for public use and a games area.

Off site we operate the Chester Train Station which houses the Oak Island Display, the Forman Hawboldt Display, a walking labyrinth, an artisan's gallery and the Chester Visitor Information Centre and is the home to the Chester Farmer's Market.
