“This Spring Campaign feels different” is what kept coming up as we began planning this year’s campaign. Historically, our Spring Campaign is a time where we highlight all of the good things that Children of the Promise is experiencing - success stories, smiling faces, “God moments”...all as a result because God is at work in our small community in Northern Haiti because of COTP. It’s always an exciting time of year!

However, when we sat down to plan this year’s Spring Campaign, it felt extremely tough. How do we celebrate one success story when we are faced with hundreds of difficult stories of people we aren’t sure we can help? How do we showcase the smiling faces of people who don’t feel joy right now? How do we share all of the good things that God is doing, while we equally express how difficult of a season it currently is in Haiti?

As we wrestled with this, we were prompted to choose the theme “Tout moun se moun”, which is translated as “every person is a person”. We believe that this theme holds incredible value during this difficult season in Haiti. The belief that every person is a person is one of our core values at Children of the Promise. It also reminds us that God made every person...on purpose. He put Himself into each life, as we are made in His image. The world often sees and defines individuals by what they are not or what they lack. But this does not change the fact of what we are: each uniquely created in God's image with a plan and promise for our lives.

So as we continue to push forward in this difficult season, we invite you to join us in these next six weeks as we look at how COTP is impacting lives one person at a time (and yes, we still plan to celebrate success stories & show smiling faces!) as we aim to raise $85,000 USD towards general operations, which will allow us to sustain the day-to-day ministry of providing support and care for at-risk children and families in Haiti. We welcome you into all the hard, exciting, exhausting, and wonderful ways that God continues to use Children of the Promise to impact individual lives in Haiti and beyond!
