Founded over 60 years ago, CISV is a global movement dedicated to educating and inspiring action for peace. We believe that peace is possible through friendship and understanding and that the real difference can be made by engaging young people of different backgrounds and cultures to build understanding and friendship.
CISV Vancouver has been positively impacting the lives of youth for over 30 years. Our peace education and leadership building programs are offered to youth ages 10-25 years old. Our monthly meetings, weekend camps and international summer camps are designed to provide environments where inclusion, cooperation, open-mindedness, and cross-cultural friendships are fostered.
CISV uses hands-on, experiential learning methods of peace education and encourages youth to take a leadership role while learning about such topics as diversity, human rights, sustainable development and the resolution of conflict.
