We are Disciples of Christ, a movement for wholeness in a fragmented world. As part of the one body of Christ we welcome all to the Lord’s Table as God has welcomed us.

For two centuries, Christians in our movement have called Canada home and have worked to build inclusive communities where the love of Jesus is proclaimed and lived.Today we worship in multiple languages across the country, in diverse liturgical styles, reflecting the cultural diversity of Canada.

We are a noncreedal tradition, meaning we do not require people to believe in any statement of faith written after the Bible in order to participate in our shared community. We are united by our desire to follow Jesus, who we encounter together sharing Communion each Sunday.

The Bible is our common text and sacred story. In studying it together we develop a common language to describe our diverse experiences. We encourage one another to study the Bible in its context and in conversation with our contemporary lives.

The greatest commandments are love. Trusting God loves others as God has loved us, we celebrate our own freedom to know God by allowing others theirs.

Our movement is called the Christian Church and we are called Disciples of Christ because we do not want to be defined by anyone besides Jesus or any doctrine less than him.
