Every day thousands of people in sub-Saharan Africa die because of AIDS. Children affected by AIDS are often stigmatized and marginalized by society and their communities, abandoned and left to live on the streets or in underfunded orphanages severed from their extended family and their community.
We care for the AIDS-affected child because of Jesus’ command to care for the orphan and the powerful influence that a child’s faith can have on a whole community.
Christ's Hope cares for AIDS-affected children in seven sub-Saharan African Countries. Through our Ministry CarePoint model, we focus on caring for orphaned and vulnerable children who have lost one or both parents. A Ministry CarePoint is strategically located in areas with a high AIDS infection rate and orphan and vulnerable children. Children come to the Ministry CarePoint multiple times each week to receive emotional, physical, academic, and spiritual care and support. Children stay with extend family while Christ's Hope comes along side the family. Our support removes the financial burdens for the family while giving the needed care and support to ensure each child can thrive.
