The CISV Mission

CISV Victoria is part of an international network of volunteers. It is founded on our belief that peace is possible through building global friendships and that a real difference can be made by starting with children.

About Our Chapter

CISV Victoria has been positively impacting the lives of youth for 50 years. Our peace education and leadership building programs are offered to youth ages 11-25 years old. Our monthly meetings, weekend camps and 4-week international summer camps are designed to provide environments where inclusion, cooperation, open-mindedness, and cross-cultural friendships are fostered. Our chapter is proud to be celebrating our 50th year in 2015! (More information can be found on our webiste

About Our Bursary Fund

An active CISV parent from 1990 Dick Blenkiron led two Interchange delegations (Mexico and Brazil). He held a 3 year term as National President and was Canada's International Trustee at the time of his passing in 2003. Dick Blenkiron was both charitable and adventurous. The funds he raised by walking ‘The Great Gold River to Tahsis Walk’ (2001/2002) were the first monies to form this bursary fund.
