You may have already seen our online announcement that Clay and Paper Theatre will have to close down our Studio at 221 Sterling Road, Unit 5 by April 30th, due to continued shrinking funding and current cost of living and unsustainable rental challenges. Sadly, we are not the only small not-for-profit arts organization that is struggling at this time in this City and this Province.

While Clay and Paper Theatre’s year-round studio will be closing, and our programming must be reduced at this time, we will still be back in Dufferin Grove Park to provide adapted programs, including the 25th Annual Night of Dread Festival. You'll also ABSOLUTELY see us around town animating public spaces and offering other community engaged arts experiences.

Despite the enormous challenges, it’s you, the Dufferin Grove and Davenport communities, who have supported and sustained us for 30 years. We can’t thank you enough for your generosity over the many years, and for your friendship, camaraderie and love. It has kept us motivated and excited to keep creating, sharing and mentoring, to keep examining the world critically and, especially, to keep celebrating its extraordinary beauty together.
