What is CLIMAtlantic?
CLIMAtlantic is a climate services organization for Atlantic Canada that offers resources, expertise, and collaboration for free. We help communities, sectors, organizations, governments, and individuals build resilience to the impacts of climate change. We connect people with knowledge-holders and information—creating space for collaboration and partnership, building regional adaptation capacity.
What Your Donation Supports
Your donation will help us build Atlantic Canada’s resilience to climate change risks and impacts.
Building climate change resilience and adapting to the changes means planning for and adjusting to the actual effects of our changing climate, taking proactive steps to mitigate current and future risks and harm, and seeking opportunities to build overall resilience.
Why: Flooding, erosion, and unpredictable weather events—such as the increasing number of hot days—are some of the climate change impacts Atlantic Canadians feel most often. These impacts put pressure on individuals, affecting safety, health, infrastructure, tourism, and much more. We’re all affected by climate change and will all feel these impacts, with some of our most vulnerable being affected unequally.
