Clinton Wildfire Recovery Fund. Rebuilding Together.

This summer, when wildfire reached their doorstep, the people of Clinton lost their sense of security as they were displaced from their homes.

When the Pear Lake and Fiftynine Creek wildfires swept across the Bonaparte and Cariboo Plateaus, the entire Village of Clinton and surrounding areas were placed under evacuation order. Families left with only what they could carry, uncertain whether they would have a home to return to. Businesses closed. Community organizations suspended operations. With power out for weeks, refrigerators and freezers thawed, destroying food and essential supplies.

Through it all, firefighters stood between our community and disaster.

The BC Wildfire Service and our own Clinton Fire Department worked tirelessly to protect our homes, businesses, and livelihoods. There was devastating loss on the outskirts of Cilnton, but because of their extraordinary efforts, the Village of Clinton is still standing.

But surviving the wildfire is only the beginning.

Recovery will take months—and for many, years. Families face unexpected expenses. Local businesses are struggling to recover lost income. Community organizations that provide vital services must rebuild while continuing to support those who need them most.

The Clinton Food Bank has launched the Clinton Wildfire Recovery Fund to raise emergency and recovery funds for Clinton and surrounding areas.

As one of the few registered charities based in Clinton, the Clinton Food Bank is uniquely positioned to raise and steward charitable donations that will directly support individuals, families, businesses, and community organizations affected by the 2026 wildfires.

Our goal is to raise $500,000 to help our community recover.

Every dollar raised stays local.

Every dollar will be carefully administered by people who live here, understand our community, and are committed to supporting those most affected by this disaster.
