Colborne Lodge Inc. came into existence in September 1980. This not-for-profit seniors' apartment building was the result of a local contractor and members of Fairview Baptist Church's vision uniting with the Federal government's commitment through CMHC to address the need for affordable seniors' housing in the community.
The building contains 34 one-bedroom units, laundry facilities, an inviting common room, and an overnight guest suite. Several of the apartments have additionally subsidized rents through the effective stewardship of resources such as the volunteer involvement of church members and solid management practices.
For over 40 years, Colborne Lodge has sustained its original objectives of providing safe, affordable housing for seniors.
