A National Historic Site preserving Canada’s WWII aviation legacy with airworthy aircraft, artifacts, and the RCAF Memorial.
The Commonwealth Air Training Plan Museum (CATPM) is Canada’s national home for the story of the Royal Canadian Air Force and the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan, one of the country’s most significant contributions to the Second World War.
We honour the BCATP by preserving its history, caring for its artifacts, and sharing the stories of the men and women who served, trained, and supported the RCAF during WWII. Our work ensures their service is remembered, understood, and carried forward to future generations.
Located in an original WWII hangar, now a designated National Historic Site, the Museum is a living heritage space, featuring airworthy training aircraft, vehicles, and thousands of artifacts that bring the era to life.
Just across the field stands the RCAF WWII Memorial, a 91-metre granite wall engraved with the names and ages of over 19,000 fallen RCAF personnel who lost their lives in service. It remains the only permanent public memorial in Canada dedicated to every member of the RCAF and all Canadians who served in any Commonwealth air force during the Second World War.
Together, the Museum and Memorial form a place of remembrance, education, and national pride, ensuring that the stories of service from home and across the world are never forgotten.
