About COMMUNITY HOMELESS SHELTER
Operating under the umbrella of Cape Breton Community Housing Association, the Community Homeless Shelter is a non-profit, charitable organization directed by a volunteer Board of Directors.
The mandate of the shelter is to provide safe emergency accomodations for homeless individuals in a manner that respects their diverse experiences and needs.
The shelter also assists clients in accessing available resources within the community as needed and provides on-going support and rehabilitative services through in-house programs and counseling.
A referral service for females requiring emergency shelter is also provided.
