Community Legal Education Association (CLEA) has been operating since 1984. We help Manitobans understand the law. Our programs include:
- a province-wide legal information phone line and lawyer referral service (Law Phone-In & Lawyer Referral Program),
- a Speakers Bureau,
- plain language legal publications,
- an annual law conference,
- webinars, and
- school programs (speakers in the classroom, mock trials, case summaries, lesson plans, teaching kit)
- website that includes plain language publications, over 600 Frequently Asked Questions and information for unrepresented litigants
- video library of over 60 videos
Our newest project is:
- Victims of Intimate Partner Violence project - a toll-free line and presentations on various aspects of intimate partner violence.
