The Community Refugee Fund is hosted by the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary (SNJM) in Windsor, Ontario.
The Sisters of the Holy Names currently operate two homes for refugee claimants in Windsor, Ontario. With the help of staff, residents, volunteers and donors, we provide shelter and basic necessities for up to 20 displaced persons. We help guide claimants through the legal channels for their hearings and provide assistance with finding affordable housing and employment.
The Sisters also provide educational opportunities for low income families in the city's west end, including lessons in swimming, cooking, gymnastics, music and art.
