Neighbours helping Neighbours
The Comox Valley Food Bank has been committed to reducing hunger in our community since 1983. We are open year-round and our Food Bank reaches urban and rural populations in the Comox Valley, from Oyster River to Cook Creek, and Denman Island. The Comox Valley Food bank recently took over stewardship of the Hornby Island Food Bank.
Our motto is "Neighbours helping Neighbours." Through the generosity of the local community, this Food Bank has provided not only food and basic necessities, but hope, strength, encouragement and kindness to those in need either in the receiving of food or reintroduction and integration into community life. Our dedication is proven by the many hours of volunteer hours put into this service year after year.
