In March 2019, the Comox Valley Land Trust was successful in their campaign to acquire and protect a significant 55 acre parcel of land in the headwaters of Morrison Creek, which is the only habitat to the critically endangered Morrison Creek Lamprey. The completion of this project and outstanding community donor support has lead CVLT to launch a new campaign for Phase 2, which aims to protect the entire Morrison Headwaters area.
