🌟🌟 🌟 Join us in supporting creation with CKW’s new project, Hyper Portrait, an exciting new creation that brings together dance, drums, and spoken word. Hyper Portrait explores indeterminacy as a way of loosening fixed identities and opening space for more plural experiences of self. A vital part of this project is CKW's collaboration with Laurie Young, a Berlin-based Canadian artist whose expertise in mimicry has deeply shaped Katie's research. To continue this work, CKW need's to bring Laurie to Canada for focused creation periods, covering travel and accommodation, as well as support other out-of-town collaborators. The work will be developed between November 2026 and March 2027, with performances planned in Vancouver, Toronto, and Montreal. Rooted in curiosity and experimentation, CKW supports works like Hyper Portrait while nurturing the conditions that make them possible. Every gesture of support helps sustain a living, evolving artistic ecosystem.
