Our Mission
Our congregation is a "Messiah based Torah centred Messianic Congregation" comprised of both those who were born Jewish and those of the nations, who have been grafted into the commonwealth of Israel, through the acceptance of Yeshua as their Messiah (Efesim / Ephesians 2:12-13). We believe Yeshua to be the living Torah who came to faithfully fulfill Torah and not abolish it. Torah is alive and well, living in the hearts of all believers.
About CONGREGATION MELECH YISRAEL OF TORONTO
We strive to walk in His ways because we love Him. We believe that Torah and grace coexist today, G-d’s Law requires us to perform, God’s Grace forgives us when we’ve tried and failed. Being a Messiah based Torah centred congregation means that we teach and encourage members and adherents to practice Torah in their homes and as a general everyday lifestyle. It also means the celebrating of all biblical moedim (feasts) on their prescribed day and in their prescribed manner. Being Torah centred means we honour the Shabbat by ceasing from all forms of labour including buying and selling, from sundown Friday night until sundown Saturday night.
