2026 marks the 30th anniversary of the CONTACT Photography Festival — and we need your support.
We’re proud to launch the 30th Anniversary Fund, our first-ever fundraising campaign.
Over the past 29 years, CONTACT has supported more than 7,500 artists in developing professional exhibitions, projects, and practices — contributing to lasting, meaningful careers. Supporting artists has always been at the core of our mission.
Founded in 1997, CONTACT is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to celebrating the art and profession of photography. We are committed to an inclusive and accessible approach to the medium, building community by fostering dynamic collaborations and meaningful engagement between Canadian and international photographers, curators, partner organizations, and audiences.
Every year, the photographic community — locally, nationally, and internationally — looks forward to the Month of Photography in May. This citywide, free-of-charge festival offers countless opportunities to experience a wide range of exhibitions throughout the GTA, along with hundreds of in-person and online events including openings, lectures, artist talks, book reviews, seminars, and workshops. These events strengthen creative connections across the city and foster robust ties within the international art world.
Starting today, we are working toward a fundraising goal of $75,000. Your support has never been more important. Your donation will help us continue our mission and sustain a powerful, inclusive Festival.
All proceeds from this campaign will go directly toward supporting the festival and its artists — funding exhibition production, commissions, artist fees, and innovative public programming.
Please consider donating today — and help support the future of Toronto's photographic community.
