Our Story!

On July 19, 2021, the congregation of St. George Coptic Orthodox Church in Surrey, B.C., woke up to the news that our church had been burned to the ground due to an arson fire. Flames broke out shortly before 3:30 AM, and by the time firefighters arrived, the building was engulfed in flames.

This nearly 70-year-old building was much more than just a building; it was a place where we built community, married our youth, baptized our babies, and welcomed newcomers to the faith. Simply put, it was our home.

Since then, we have been unrelentingly trying to rebuild our church. Please check below our services:

Newcomer Service + Playground + Gymnasium + Community Daycare + Dining Hall + Industrial Kitchen + Fun Events + Summer Camps + Homeless Outreach.
