Corvus Centre for Conservation Policy

about

Conserving nature is all about decisions. The decisions made by provincial and federal governments, municipalities, landowners, NGOs, and industry can be nature-positive or nature-negative.

The Corvus Centre has a mandate to help conserve nature by helping to improve the decision-making that affects Canada's biodiversity. We do that by working with all of those decisionmakers to improve nature-related policy.

Corvus’ project work addresses four conservation priorities

  • - Land Use & Biodiversity
  • - Nature & Climate
  • - Natural Infrastructure
  • - Finance & Biodiversity

Corvus uses four tools

  • - Research
  • - Policy analysis
  • - Facilitation
  • - Communications

Corvus speaks three languages

  • - Policy
  • - Nature
  • - Science

Corvus fills gaps

  • - We target the strategic gaps and provide focused research, catalyze the critical conversations, and investigate the crucial questions

Corvus connects
