Trellis Foundation DOUBLE DOUBLE Matching Gift Opportunity

We are thrilled to announce that a generous supporter has volunteered to match any contribution you make to Trellis Foundation—up to $25,000—until October 31st. It’s a great opportunity to invest in the deepening of disciples in through Covenant churches, camps, and ECCC ministries, and have your gift MATCHED.

If we can raise $25,000 by October 31, 2016, your investment will be DOUBLED to put $50,000 to work catalyzing biblical, intentional and innovative discipleship in the ECCC—and these funds will keep giving every year. It gets better – 20% of all donations to Trellis this month will send kids to Bible camp in 2017, up to $500 per Covenant church, or up to $10,000 total!

ECCC Superintendent Jeff Anderson has this say about Trellis: "Jesus invites his followers to go and make disciples. Trellis Foundation was not started to be another ministry doing discipleship but rather one that help the Canadian Covenant to support local churches, camps and other discipleship ministries we do together. Trellis is complementary not competitive to the ministries our constituency holds near and dear."

"I encourage you to consider supporting this Double/Double campaign and in so doing to support local Covenant ministries both now and into the future! On behalf of the many Covenanters whose life with Jesus have been deepened through initiatives funded by Trellis grants—and hundreds of children impacted at Covenant camps—thank you for your consideration."

A Legacy of Covenant Bible College

Trellis Foundation is a legacy of Covenant Bible College (CBC) – one of the fruits of CBC’s 66 years of rich and creative ministry discipling young adults. We sense God’s call to continue the purpose of CBC, which was “to equip men and women to live as disciples of Jesus Christ.”

The sale of CBC properties after its closure in 2007 produced significant funds in a truly miraculous way. By investing those funds, we seek to honour those who have for generations joined in CBC’s work through prayer, through sacrificial giving, as faculty and staff, and as students themselves.

The funds from the sale of CBC properties after its closure in 2007 are being leveraged in perpetuity, with over $120,000 granted in the past two years to disciple-deepening endeavours throughout the ECCC.

In its granting capacity, Trellis Foundation will be a catalyst for discipleship in the Evangelical Covenant Church of Canada (ECCC) for generations to come. By partnering with ECCC communities, we are furthering CBC’s work of strengthening churches and developing leaders who are mastered by the Word of God, shaped by the love of God, and partners in work of God. Read more about our purpose and core values.

The purpose of Trellis Foundation is to be a catalyst of biblical, intentional and innovative discipleship in the Evangelical Covenant Church of Canada.

We believe being a disciple of Jesus is a great adventure. An adventure that leads to the kind of life we’ve always wanted. (John 10:10)

Following Jesus is what discipleship is all about. The definition of disciple is simply a person who is learning from Jesus how to live their everyday life. A disciple is a student whose teacher is Jesus.

Our desire is that Trellis Foundation, in the legacy of Covenant Bible College, would support growth in God’s kingdom in amazingly fruitful ways. Sometimes all that is needed is getting an idea ‘off the ground’. We believe this is what we are to be about. Trellis Foundation will be distributing grants to Canadian Covenant charitable organizations (i.e., churches, camps, and other future organizations) doing the crucial work of discipleship in Canada.
