The purpose of the Cowichan Valley Arts Council (CVAC) is to enrich the community through the lens of art.
About COWICHAN VALLEY ARTS COUNCIL
The Cowichan Valley Arts Council was founded in1971. We welcome up to 17,000 guests every year to our professional calibre galleries and studio. We host 30 exhibitions per year, featuring local artists in all mediums. We welcome & promote artists of all ages who are emerging or accomplished. More than 500 participants attend dozens of workshops for all ages and skill levels, including summer camps for kids. We serve equity seeking groups in activities specially designed in consultation with individuals, health experts and many organizations. We impact our community through celebration, education, employment, art sales and joyful engagement ... as only art can do!
