About Creating Alternatives

Creating Alternatives is a registered charity that strives to provide a day program for individuals with developmental disabilities including downs syndrome, autism and global developmental delay in the GTA. Through programming we provide a safe and supportive environment where participants are able to socialize, learn and adapt in the community as well as practice literacy and work skills, to aid in transition into adulthood.

With your support we can continue on in our mission of providing participants with programs that educate, train, develop and create experiences for meaningful community integration. Creating Alternatives creates a personalized plan for each participant that includes training and programming in a variety of areas. A program may include: life skills, work skills, health and wellness, literacy, social & communication skills, fitness, recreation and/or multi-sensory awareness.
