The Creative Foundation Inc. was established in 1999 by former educator Yisa Akinbolaji to empower vulnerable youth and steer them away from street life and future poverty. Recognizing the challenges faced by many immigrant families—particularly parents forced to work multiple jobs after losing their life savings and starting over in a new country—Akinbolaji created an organization that provides mentorship and academic support in the arts, sciences, computer technology, and other vital subjects.
The Foundation is dedicated to helping youth build strong academic foundations, develop creativity, and cultivate self-motivation and self-discipline. The board of Creative Foundation Inc. encourages every successful adult to invest in the potential of the next generation—just as others once contributed to their own success—believing that the brightest future rests in the hands of today’s children.
