Our Mission

The Mission of the Creston Kootenay Foundation is to encourage the increased flow of resources to community needs, to create and manage permanent endowment funds to meet those needs and to respond to emerging needs that come with changing times.

The Creston Kootenay Foundation enhances the quality of life for area residents by:

i. attracting and managing permanent endowment funds through responsible stewardship;

ii. assessing and responding to existing and emerging community needs through grants to qualified donees;

iii. offering a means for individuals and organizations to contribute to our community both during and after their lifetime;

iv. providing philanthropic leadership in our community.

Mandate of the Creston Kootenay Foundation;

The Foundation receives and maintains a fund or funds and applies all or part of the principal and income there from, to charitable non profit organizations that are providing services to communities and residents in the Foundation's area of responsibility.
