Our Mission
Our mission is to help solve and deter crime by providing a means of reporting criminal activity, with guaranteed anonymity, through cooperation with the Police, the media and the community.
About CRIME STOPPERS OF HAMILTON INC.
Crime Stoppers is an investigative tool relying equally on the co-operation of the police force, the news media and the community. It is a program designed to encourage people from all walks of life to call the program with information to solve serious crimes already committed, or those about to occur. Crime Stoppers offers both total anonymity to the caller and a cash reward, if the information leads to an arrest.
Crime Stoppers also consists of a volunteer Board of Directors comprised of members of the community. It is their job to administer and operate the program and to raise reward monies from the private sector. The funds are not tax dollar, but instead monies donated by business, service clubs and concerned charitable citizens. Since the program is incorporated as a charitable organization, all donations are tax exempt.
