About Crossroads for Women
Since 1981 Crossroads for Women has been empowering and assisting survivors of violence by providing education, resources, emergency shelter, counselling and crisis intervention 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for South Eastern New Brunswick. Crossroads for Women is the only domestic violence and sexual assault shelter in South Eastern New Brunswick.Our mandate is to empower victims and survivors of violence and their families break the cycle of abuse by providing shelter and on-going support services, as well as public awareness and prevention programs.
Our programs and services are:
Transition House: a shelter that offers safe temporary emergency housing to women and children who are victims of domestic violence.
Community Outreach: support service available to victims of violence and/or sexual assault
Crisis line: support and resources related to family violence 24/7.
JADE Centre (formerly known as South East Sexual Assault Centre): free, confidential, specialized sexual assault violence services
Family Violence Crisis Centre: crisis intervention, counselling, and support services to victims of violence, 24/7.
Child and Youth Support program: introducing education and early intervention for children and youth who witness and/or are victims of violence.
Blossom House: long-term affordable and supportive housing program for women who are struggling with mental health or addiction.
Second Stage: a 1 year supportive and affordable housing program available to women and children who are experiencing domestic violence.
