There are a number of ways we have been and will continue to help evacuees in BC. Disaster Aid Canada has already completed 6 shipments of supplies - either into Prince George or Kamloops. Some supplies were flown in and others went in a container. We are currently working on our 7th shipment. This container will be sent to Ashcroft, BC. From there, supplies will be taken to 3 towns that need our help.
If you live in Victoria, the Disaster Aid Canada warehouse will be open on Wednesday August 9th from 9am - 4pm. People can come and drop off NEW Hygiene Products, Diapers, Canned Food, Toddler Snacks, Blankets, Sheets, Towels, Over-the-counter Medicine and Cleaning Supplies. Please see our Facebook page for the list that was provided to us by the United Way in Kamloops. Our warehouse is at 426 William Street, Victoria, BC.
Cash donations allow us to purchase other needed items and get supplies to where they need to be.
Time is of the essence! Last week the 20 foot container was filled in 3 days...let's repeat this success.
