Nepal has been struck by an unprecedented mud flood of extraordinary force. Massive torrents of water mixed with mud, boulders, trees, and debris have swept through entire communities, burying homes, destroying roads and bridges, cutting off villages, and leaving families with nothing but the clothes they were wearing.

The destructive power of this disaster has been overwhelming, leaving behind a landscape of devastation and despair. People have lost loved ones, homes, livelihoods, and every possession they owned. Many communities remain isolated, without access to safe drinking water, sanitation facilities, or essential supplies.

The humanitarian needs continue to grow with every passing day. Our Disaster Aid International Partner Disaster Aid Nepal has already mobilized its emergency response. With our support, they are preparing to deploy 70 AquaBoxes and 200 family water filters to provide safe drinking water to affected communities. These resources will help prevent outbreaks of waterborne diseases and provide immediate relief to families struggling to survive.
