Mission

The Dixville Home Foundation (1974) contributes towards various projects, which promote a better quality of life for persons with intellectual disability or an autism spectrum disorder. The foundation dedicates itself to the development of users human potential, autonomy and social integration, for the overcoming of cognitive and behavioral limitations. This year, the Foundation Centre Notre-Dame de l’Enfant (CNDE) will be integrated in the Dixville Home Foundation. This partnership will strengthen our ability to fulfill our very important mission in the region of Estrie.

Over the years, many activities were made possible for the users thanks to donations and the Foundation funding campaigns:

• Participation in the Special Olympics games;
• Exhibitions of their works of art;
• Organization of leisure, recreational and sports activities (hiking, cultural events, dances, summer garden project, etc.);
• Support to users who live alone;
• Purchase of medical and specialized rehabilitative equipment as well as educational material towards learning in young children;
• Acquisition and maintenance of buildings for services provided to the users in need;
• Funding and management of a recreational community center (Drop-in center).

Additionally, the Foundation organizes annual fund-raising events, including the traditional golf tournament and the Wine and Cheese with their welcoming and festive atmospheres. Your participation is precious for the users’ continued progression.
