Having seen, over the years, a real distress of fathers experiencing personal, family and marital difficulties that put them at risk of breaking or reducing their bond with their child, the community organization Donne-toi une chance developed, in August 2019, Maison Oxygène Outaouais, a temporary shelter resource with community follow-up for fathers experiencing difficulties and wishing to re-establish, preserve or strengthen their bond with their child.

Maison Oxygène Outaouais is a part of the Réseau Maisons Oxygène. Unfortunately, we are deprived of the funding obtained by other Quebec houses until 2022, as it had not yet obtained its label. Having received only minimal funding to date, but eager to help fathers in need in the Outaouais region and their children, Maison Oxygène Outaouais is asking for your generosity to collect donations so that we can offer fathers the services and help they need and deserve because the fathers of the Outaouais region are important too!

The resource also provides Outaouais fathers with personalized support, workshops/support groups for fathers that value paternal engagement, the development of parenting skills and positive co-parenting.

- Restore, preserve and strengthen the father-child bond

- Meet the basic needs of fathers and children (lodging, food, clothing, etc.)

- To ensure a personalized and adapted help for fathers concerning theirs difficulties

- Valuing fatherhood

- Prevent homelessness and social exclusion
