The library, which was founded as the Dorchester Memorial Library after the Second World War, is now a part of the New Brunswick Public Library Service. Its collection includes books, periodicals, audiobooks, and a collection of DAISY Talking Books for those with a print disability from the Centre for Equitable Library Access. It also has public access computers, wireless internet service, a Merlin magnifier, an adaptive workstation, and access to ebooks and digital audiobooks through the electronic library of the NBPLS.
