DVCF was started in 1994 by a group of local philanthropists dedicated to making life better for the Drayton Valley/Brazeau County region. The main objective was to build up our community in a sustainable way where everyone can thrive for the long term. All the money in DVCF stays in the community and is granted out to local community groups, organizations, and not for profits. One of the significant differences between another charity and us is that we are sustainable, and there will always be money available to grant out. So our funds will continue to grant out money for generations to come.
