"My son is wanting to shave his head (and I few other kids I’m told) for cancer on Oct 7th. He’s in grade 8 and his Bumpa (grandfather) was recently diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer, and I also lost my Mom to cancer 16 years ago whom which he had never had to opportunity to meet.

This came about as I was asked to shave heads for cops for cancer on October 8th and he wanted to do something as well.

Now you don’t know my son, but he is a hair guy! So this is a big deal.

I’m trying to organize it with the school so it’s kind of an assembly where the school can watch them shave their heads. (I’ll be doing the shaving) and wondered if you would like to take part, as we would like all proceeds to go to our local oncology unit."

It would be ideal if you had an email that anyone that wanted to donate could EMT, and Teri Jackson (vice principal of new prospect school) could collect any cash and you could maybe announce how much money they raised? Maybe offer some type of incentive for the kids that sign up? Like a community spirit award or something? Kids are amazing and love to feel like they’re really making a difference!"
