Dundas Valley School of Art (DVSA) has been providing visual art education to the Hamilton-Wentworth region since it was founded in 1964. From its humble beginnings – one class with one teacher and thirty students, in a rented space above a sporting goods store –the school has grown yearly to now offer 500+ classes for full-time and part-time studies, instructed by 75+ faculty and attended by 8,500+ registrants. In addition, DVSA has an extensive outreach program engaging with community partners, providing visual art instruction to thousands of individuals, children through to seniors.
