For over fifteen years, Liliana, a vivacious septuagenarian, has summitted some of the world's tallest peaks in support of e4c's School Nutrition programs. Accomplishments include Mount Everest base camp, Mt. Kilimanjaro, and various peaks across Switzerland and the rest of Europe.
For Liliana, there is nothing more important than having students with full bellies in classrooms across the city.
"Whenever I travel, I volunteer with the kids. They're what keeps me going," she shared with e4c at a recent coffee meeting. "The children give me energy. They inspire me. Nothing would have happened without the kids - they've given me these life changing experiences, and I can give them something in return, a lunch, or something to eat when they are hungry."
To date, Liliana has raised over $100,000 for School Nutrition.
