Eating Disorders Nova Scotia

Registered Name: Eating Disorders Nova Scotia Association

Business Number: 766298525RR0001

Eating Disorders Nova Scotia (EDNS) was established as a non-profit in 1998. Our vision is that all Nova Scotians affected by eating disorders have will have access to the support, education, and hope they need to achieve recovery.

Eating disorders are the most lethal mental illness. 10% of those diagnosed with anorexia will be dead within 10 years. Recovery is possible, with early intervention, treatment, and support.

Your donation helps us provide peer support to individuals, families and friends affected by eating disorders. Our trained mentors, who have lived experience with eating disorder recovery, provide support, motivation, and hope for recovery. We've been there. We understand.

Your donation helps us to:

-provide peer support groups and online peer support;

-provide community education, workshops and resources;

- work with stakeholders to fight stigma around eating disorders and mental illness, foster body positivity, and address the social and cultural factors that can contribute to disordered eating.
