Hope United Church, located in west end Halifax, is a union of three congregations: Edgewood United & Oxford Street United amalgamated in 2005 and United Memorial Church joined Edgewood-Oxford in 2016. Each of the original three brought a rich history of faithful service to the church, the community and the world. We journey together into the future with hope – as the family of Hope United Church. Services at Hope United blend traditional and contemporary elements in word, action and music to provide food for the soul no matter where you are on your faith journey. All are welcome here!

Refugee Project
Our congregation, and our Co-Sponsor, the Friends of HS, are partnering to bring an Afghan Refugee to Canada. His life is in danger as he served his country as an anti-terrorism prosecutor before the government of Afghanistan was overthrown by the Taliban. His application to Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada is now in progress. To contribute to help to save his life and support the settlement costs after he arrives in Halifax please select the Refugee Project option in the DONATE BOX.
