The Edmonton and Area Land Trust works to conserve our natural heritage for present and future generations. We are the only conservancy whose focus is to preserve natural areas and rural landscapes in the Edmonton region. We do this to enhance residents’ quality of life and sense of place, for wildlife and their habitat, and to maintain the economic, health, and community benefits of natural areas.
What People Are Saying
"For many years I have contributed to a number of charitable organizations supporting environmental protection. All have promoted worthwhile projects from coast to coast, but it is wonderful to be able to walk through a parcel of land knowing you have contributed to its protection in perpetuity."
— Betty Fisher
"As a father with 2 young children, I want them to be able to grow up in a world where we still have natural spaces. I want them to know what their home place was like before development. I support and donate to the land trust for the future of my children"
— Ronnie Ploit
"The EALT mission and goals entirely match my values and I could only see benefits from getting involved... Volunteering for EALT gives me an opportunity to stay active and fit, learn something new, meet people with different backgrounds but similar interests, and be outdoors."
— Mary-Jo Boeglin
"The[ir] passion is obvious when you look at how much work has gone into finding and acquiring lands, sharing information with the public, and engaging with volunteers. And, everyone I have spoken to has been incredibly friendly and welcoming."
— Anne Gregory
