The Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation (EOCF) is a registered charity and the official charitable arm of the NHL’s Edmonton Oilers. Since 2001, thanks to the unmatched passion and generosity of Oilers fans, the EOCF has helped thousands of kids, families and communities in need across Oil Country. In pursuit of making our communities better, creating opportunity and access, the EOCF is focused on the following:

Growing the game of hockey for boys and girls in Oil Country at the grassroots level by alleviating barriers to participation and fostering the inclusion of underserved groups,

Focusing on the needs of Oil Country by engaging with organizations who are focused on delivering programs aimed at those most vulnerable in our communities, and

Stepping up in times of need and crisis to ensure EOCF is being a good community citizen. 

The key EOCF investment pillars are Every Kid Deserves a Shot and Standing Up for Oil Country:

Standing Up for Oil Country is designed to provide flexibility in responding to emerging needs across Oil Country. This pillar supports causes that are important to all Albertans and helps those who need it most. Funding decisions under Standing Up for Oil Country include community grants and the EOCF 50/50 program. These are aligned with the foundation’s commitment to making a meaningful impact in communities, fostering connections to the Oilers organization, players and alumni, and supporting initiatives that reflect NHL and broader community impact goals.

Every Kid Deserves a Shot, presented by Rogers, is making a real, lasting impact by uniting the community and removing barriers to sport. It includes programming that helps build a future where every kid can be inspired, reach their full potential and feel a sense of belonging—both on and off the ice. Through the Every Kid Deserves a Shot Program alone, the EOCF has invested $14.1 million funds, contributed to 68 community programs and activations, and inspired 75, 546 kids.
