Vocal Alchemy provides music education through non-auditioned choral singing, and produces compelling and meaningful concert performances.
Vocal Alchemy was created by a group of experienced singers convinced that a welcoming attitude is compatible with making great choral music. Singing together is transformative! Since the choir's founding in 2002, VA has experienced much change and growth.
Vocal Alchemy holds no auditions. The choir welcomes singers of all ages and experience levels, from all walks of life, who share a dedication to learning and our desire to make beautiful music.
Artistic Director Jordan Van Biert and our skilled artistic staff guide the choir as its members explore their potential through music and singing. Members are challenged to learn new skills, and we collaborate with other ensembles and soloists that elevate the choir's performance standard.
Vocal Alchemy's repertoire celebrates the abundance of the Western choral tradition, from folk music of Canada to classical masterworks and new contemporary compositions.
