The Edmonton Youth Justice Society Committee is excited to announce that we are expanding our program to support youth ages 18-24 years. Our program has successfully helped countless young people make a change in their lives. We know that turning 18 is not a magic wand that instantly results in better decision-making and it is now widely known that the brain continues to develop until at least the age of 25. Many young adults are still finding their way in the world, despite legally being considered an adult. In the criminal justice system, this age group is underserviced and inadequately supported. Now EYJCS will be able to fill in some of those gaps and provide this much-needed support.

We are currently raising funds to support this exciting expansion of our program. This Giving Tuesday,and until year end,  we have set a goal of raising $10,000 in order to offset the initial costs necessary to support the young adults that will be referred to us. 

The EYJCS's restorative and supportive approach to responding to harm has been proven to be successful. Help us expand our program so we can support even more young people in our city.
