Our Mission

The Canadian Network for Environmental Education and Communication (EECOM) is Canada’s only national, bilingual, charitable network for environmental learning. EECOM works strategically and collaboratively to advance EL in order to ensure Canadians are environmentally literate, engage in environmental stewardship and contribute to a healthy future.

About EECOM: THE CANADIAN NETWORK FOR ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION AND COMMUNICATION/EECOM:

EECOM does not duplicate services already offered by other national organization involved in EL. We provide a vehicle for existing national, provincial and local EL organizations and individuals from various sectors to share ideas, programs, research, resources, events and services. As a comprehensive network and national voice for environmental education, we strive to strengthen and improve EL in Canada. Our activities range from organizing vibrant annual conferences to disseminating research findings, recognizing excellence in environmental education and providing the only national link for Canadian educators with an interest in EL.
